Look what happened to my poor little guy! This morning he got out of a shower and I was getting him dressed for church and noticed his left arm had a huge bump between his wrist and elbow. He whimpered when I touched it and Brian said, "oh my gosh, it's broken!" So Brian took him to the children's hostpital emergency room...he'll do anything to get out of church! Seriously though, poor Cameron, the doc thought it had been broken for a while and just for some reason this morning it was very swollen and we noticed. On and off for months when I'd get him dressed he would act like it hurt and then when I'd ask more Q's he'd just act normal. I feel like such a bad mom! You can see in the X-ray the the bone next to the broken one is also kind of bowed weird. They also had to do some painful straightening of that one too...I have no idea how that happened. Of course the nurses asked if we have a trampoline...which we do- and the kids spend ALL day on the thing. According to the ER...tramps are what keep them in biz! So needless to say we are going to get rid of the evil bone breaking tramp and the kids are VERY upset about it.
Brave little Cameron was so good. He and his dad were at the Hostpital for seven hours. They did X-rays on every bone in his body to see if there was somewhere else that could've been broken without us knowing about it. He's so brave! He definitely gets an extra helping of dessert tonight!

that's so sad! and how are you supposed to know when they act normal? we've been thinking about getting a trampoline for the kids, but maybe this will make me think twice. : ) what a trooper!
Poor kid! We have a trampoline, too, you know. And we had a kid break a leg. We still have our tramp, and haven't had any more broken bones in ten years. Just something to think about!
Oh, poor little guy AND poor mommy! Isn't it amazing how resilient these little ones are? I hope that he heals fine and that you will recover from the trauma. He is so tough!
awww! Poor Cameron. Hope everything knits back together just right.
Oh my heck!
Wow, as an ER nurse, I'll tell you that is an impressive film you've got there. Poor little guy! I love that trampolines keep the ER in business in Utah. In NY, I'd have to say Medicaid and crack/cocaine keep us in business. I hope he feels better soon!
AHHH! Wes was on a trampoline too! I am so glad he is on the road to recovery. We got to love boys!!!
He must have some kind of pain tolerance! So sorry that happened!
What a tough little guy! He's strong like his momma! Don't feel guilty! You just had a baby!
I bet he will look cool in nursery with a blue cast. What a cutie he is. I love his eyes. I hope he feels better. It is always hard to know if kids are really hurt or not, they are not like adults who just keep complaining or moaning until their wife makes a dr. appt for them.
